This end grain cutting board is made entirely of American Walnut. Rich in color varying from caramel to dark chocolate walnut is arguably the most beautiful material for cutting boards. Construction Using the face or edge grain is how most cutting boards are made. End grain construction rotates the wood so you are cutting into the grain from the ends of the timber. This process is more difficult and takes more time, but the results are fantastic. Structurally stronger and better looking, the increased price is well worth the investment. Material American Black Walnut grows commonly in North America. Considered a premium hardwood because of availability, demand, and wide variety of highly figured grain patterns. Walnut boards are rarely uniform in color and will often have streaks of different colored grains. This cutting board is available in 4 different sizes: 12×16 | 12.5×18 | 14×20 | 18×24 Each edge of the board is finished with 45-degree chamfered edges and grooved handles on either side for easy lifting.
